 Hello all! 

Another great week in Year 3. The children have written a great alternative chapter to Dick King-Smith's, The Finger Eater. The children have really enjoyed working from this book. I'm sure they have all been telling you about Ulf, the troll who likes to eat fingers. 

Next week is unfortunately Miss Ibrahim's (student teacher) last week with us. We are fortunate to have her for the entire week next week and she will be leaving on Friday.  

PE

Monday - 30 mins (trainers only) 

Wednesday - 1hr (full PE kit)

Thursday - 1hr (full PE kit)

Next week 

Maths - We will be adding fractions with the same denominator. 

English - We will be starting our topic of adventure stories. We will be using the text The Legend of Sally Jones by Jakob Wegelius to help us. 

Science - In science this week we will be testing soil permeability.   

Geography - To find out about the needs of early settlers and the origins of place names.

ICT - We will be drawing graphs on Word. 

RE - We will be recapping learning about Ramadan and Eid.  

Art - This week we looked at Paul Cezanne as an artist. We will now be looking at still life drawing, taking inspiration from Cezanne.
