Good afternoon all,
We do have a new PE timetable (below) but for NEXT WEEK ONLY we have PE on Tuesday last lesson (PE kit).
PGL
Please return all OV7A forms if you haven't done so already. Any medicine we will have to administer whilst at PGL you will need to fill out paperwork to consent to this. Please go to the office to hand in the medicine in it's box and to fill out the paperwork.
UPDATE The coach is due to leave at 7:30AM. Please arrive at school between 7:15-7:20am. We are due back at school at approximately 4pm.We will have lunch when we arrive at PGL and we will have lunch before we leave.
There will be a fitted sheet on the beds. Please provide bedding for the night. If you child wears deodorant please can you pack roll-on only.
Make sure they can carry their bags themselves - we are due to be on bottom floor accommodation. Please can I stress not to pack any electronics for PGL or anything sentimental.
We will send texts via the school to let you know we arrived safely and we will post on the blog during the evening.
PE (New timetable)
Swimming
The children have their swimming lessons each Wednesday. Please send your child in with either a swimming costume or shorts – no bikinis, please. (If the children come in wearing their swimming things under their uniform, please pack spare underwear for when they get changed after their swimming lesson).
PE Timetable
Monday (30 mins) 1:15pm
Wednesday (swimming) 11-12
Thursday (summer sports) - 2:15pm-3:15pm
Half term project
This half term I would like you to create a non-chronological report. This can be on any subject. The children have just finished a non-chronological report on The Romans. They really enjoyed researching and compiling their information together. This could be displayed as a book, a poster, or written on line paper.
Next Week
We will have a spelling test on Monday, there are no spellings to learn this weekend.
English - We will start our persuasive writing unit.
Maths - Comparing and adding and subtracting maths.
Science - We will start our new topic of rocks. We will be identifying and classifying rocks.
Computing - We will start to explore questions with yes/no answers, and how these can be used to identify and compare objects. They will create their own yes/no questions, before using these to split a collection of objects into groups.
History - We will start our topic of the history of the railways.
Have a great weekend!
