This week
Maths – This week in maths
we have measured a length and use a ruler to estimate, measure and draw to the
nearest centimetre. We explored capacity to know 1 litre = 1000 ml, we also
estimated and measured capacity in millilitres. We also placed 2- and 3-digit
numbers on a number line; round 3-digit numbers to nearest 100.
English - During our
recount topic we have be looking at what makes a report. This week we focused
on opening paragraphs, fact and opinion, headlines and the appearance of the
front page of a newspaper.
Science- This week we were
identifying magnetic and non-magnetic materials within the classroom. We then
recorded our experiment in a table and were surprised by some of our results.
Next Week

3-digit numbers on a number line; round 3-digit numbers to nearest 100; use
counting up to do mental subtractions with answers between 10 and 20, 10 and

English- We will be
continuing our recount writing with the aim of writing our own newspaper
