Welcome
back! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter break and enjoyed some quality time
with your families.
The Summer
Term is officially here, which means one thing: it’s swimming season! 🌊 The children have already been testing the waters in
the school pool this week. Please make sure swim kits are in school every
single day, as groups and schedules can change quickly as we dive into
different strokes and skills.
Plus, our
sessions at the Furzfield Centre kick off next Wednesday! Some of our lucky
Year 3s might even get a double dose of splashing by swimming twice that day.
Back in the
classroom, we have been focusing on:
PSHE &
Teamwork: We’re exploring the power of tolerance. Through team-building
challenges and new friendship groups, we’re learning how to support one
another, respect our teachers, and live out our British Values.
Geography
Explorers: We are set to become experts on the British Isles! The children are
learning to spot our country just by its coastline and are mastering the art of
locating all our capital cities on the map.
Maths
Mastery: Get those calculators ready! Next Friday’s multiplication challenge
will focus on the 4 and 5 times tables.
Quiz Night Saturday 9th May
Get your
thinking caps ready for our PTA Quiz Night on Saturday 9th May 2026! It
promises to be a fantastic evening of fun, laughter and a little bit of healthy
rivalry. It would be brilliant to see as many of you there as possible—whether
you're in it to win it or just in it for the laughs!
