Hello all, 

On Friday 22 October 2021 we will be having a Spooky Costume Day to raise funds. Children can wear any spooky costume of their choice. Please bring in £2 and give to the class teacher or pay via Gateway to take part.

Harvest Coffee Morning

We will be having our ‘Harvest Coffee Morning’ on Friday 8th October. You are invited to join your child for morning coffee and refreshments during an allocated time. You will be asked to make a donation to charity in exchange for your refreshments. The charity we are supporting this year is Breast Cancer as we do have some members in our school community who have suffered from this. 

9.30 – 10.00am – Years 1 & 2 

10.00 -10.30am – Nursery & Reception 

10.30 -11.00am – Years 5 & 6 

11.00 – 11.30am – Years 3 & 4 

We will be providing all refreshments this year. If you are unable to attend, your child will join their class teacher for refreshments during their allocated time. 

May I also ask that if you are attending the coffee morning you do not park your car in the church car park as this causes problems for people attending courses in the church hall. 

Sharing Assembly 

Throughout the year the children, in their friendship groups, will share some of their learning. I have attached a link to show which dates the children will be sharing. Parents/guardians are welcome to come and watch this assembly to celebrate the children's learning.

Home Learning Project – Due Thursday 21st October

Geography – Countries of the World

This half termly project is Countries of the World.

I would like you to create something that displays your learning around this topic.

Please feel free to be as imaginative as you would like! You could focus on subjects such as continents, countries, capital cities etc. You could explore food, culture, art, songs, sports, inventions, landmarks, wonders of the world etc.

Please do not feel this has to be a writing task.

Next week 

Maths -  We will be rounding to the nearest 10 and nearest 100. If you could do some pre-learning, this would be helpful. 

English - We will be reading and performing fables and starting to plan our own fables.  

Science - We will be looking at a human skeleton. 

Geography - We will  find out about some of the key geographical features of each continent.

ICT - We will look at what a search engine is and its purpose. 

RE - What is a religious festival?

Spanish - Counting.
