 Hello all,

Thank you for all of your donations for the Christmas hampers. You will have seen that as well as our usual Christmas Hamper raffle we have a World Cup Raffle for an official ball and a set of commemorative coins. It also means that with the money we raise we will be able to buy some regular priced balls for the children to play with during their breaks. We do go through a lot and it is hard to keep up with demand.

Next week we have the first of our Christmas events with our school Christmas Dinner. We are making this our Christmas Jumper Day as well to help add to the atmosphere of the occasion. We make this into a bit of an event by allowing the children to watch a film afterwards. Please do not forget to make your contribution towards ‘Save the Children’ which is the charity that Christmas Jumper Day supports.

The Carol Concert will take place on the evening of Monday 19th December at the church on School Road.

Home Learning Project – Due Friday 16th December (can be brought in from Monday 12th)

History – Prehistoric Britain
This half termly project is Prehistoric Britain.
I would like you to create something that shows your learning around this topic. Please feel free to be as imaginative as you would like! You could focus on subjects such as the stone age (Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic age), the metal ages (Bronze and Iron), the Celts, life in Britain, food, houses, Stonehenge, etc.

Please do not feel this has to be a writing task.

Next Week

English - This week we will be continuing our recount topic and writing a newspaper report on The True Story of The Three Little Pigs.

RE-  Christmas traditions around the world.
