Science truly came to life in
Year 3 this week! To kick off our new topic, our budding botanists have been
busy planting and getting their hands in the soil. Over the term, we will be investigating
the inner workings of flowering plants—from the vital functions of roots and
stems to the magic of pollination and seed dispersal.
In Art, we have entered the world of 3D sculpture. Drawing inspiration from artists Robert Morris and Sir Anthony Caro, the children are becoming mini-engineers. They are currently transforming cardboard and scrap materials into impressive 3D models of park apparatus, including slides, swings, and climbing frames.
Reminders: Please
continue with daily reading and multiplication practice; our focus for next
week’s test will be the 5x and 6x tables.
Wishing you all a wonderful
Bank Holiday weekend!
