Week ending 14th March 2025
Happy Friday Year Three,
We were all thrilled to welcome Mrs Sanders (Mrs B) to our class this week as she is our new teaching assistant. We were all happy as we know Mrs Sanders and the children enjoy working with her.
Another exciting week, as we had a visit from The Planetarium which was amazing. It brought space alive and we all learned so much!
We have been busy with our new art project, mosaics. The children are recognising that this cannot be rushed and that the smaller the pieces the more affective the outcome.
We have begun our fractions block in maths and the children are enjoying it! We also spent some time revising our 2 and 3 times tables. The children have done so well to get to the higher tables but are forgetting the earlier ones so that will be our focus until Easter. Please make sure your child is revising the lower tables in the next couple of weeks.
For English we have been using inference to delve into character traits and how a person's feelings can change, dependent on circumstance.
As many people are fasting at the moment we investigated this aspect of religions and other reasons people may have to fast.
Our Spanish is getting better and we are translating more complicated sentences now. We have been talking and writing about animals so the children could share this with you at home.
In our history lesson we focussed on life in Britain just before the Roman invasion.
