Week ending 28th March 2025
Hello Year Three,
Well, we have had a busy week! We have been rehearsing for next week's performance of 'What A Knight!'
We had a visit from Potters Bar Fire Service, which the children enjoyed. They were taught about the role of a firefighter, fire safety and the equipment on a fire engine.
In between rehearsals we have continued to learn how to order fractions and place them correctly on a number line. We are learning a new three times table song. If your child wants to practise it at home go to You Tube and enter 'Percy Parker Three Times Table.'
We have been working to achieve a rapid recall of the times tables. This week we have been working on the three times table and next week we will be learning the four times table.
The children wrote amazing descriptions of a volcano exploding. They wrote the introductory sentence for a newspaper report about an eruption in Pompeii.
We spent a long time working on our mosaics and are very pleased with the results. They will be on display in the corridor and class room next week.
NEXT WEEK
We will be completing various projects and units of work next week as we head towards the end of term.
I am looking forward to all our performances next week and hope to see many of you there. It will be a treat to watch!
Please work on the 2,3,4,5 and 10 times tables as we will be having an end of term test on all of these.
We will be holding the PGL meeting on Wednesday at 10am and it will be open afternoon from 3pm that day.
