Hello all!

Another week completed - time really is flying by. Thank you to all who attended the school’s bake sale and donated to Children in Need, the children really enjoyed having their soft toys in class.

Uniform: If it at all possible, could you spend some time with your child showing them how to undo their top button and to tie their shoe laces and tie.

This week

Maths – We were exploring with money this week. We were using money to add and subtract and record using the correct notation and place value.

English - Continuation of Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox.

Science – Forces. Movement and friction. We completed an experiment to see how a toy car would travel on different surfaces.

RE - Logos and symbols. Symbols expressing meaning beyond words. We looked at well-known symbols and signs and discussed how these represent ideas.

History – To find out about early humans and the Palaeolithic period.

PSHE – Family conflict – understand differences and conflict sometimes may happen.

ICT – To search using a search engine and transfer data onto a word document.

Next Week

Maths- Add and subtract 2-digit numbers using partitioning; add three 2-digit numbers by partitioning and recombining.

English – Finishing Fantastic Mr Fox and then start our recount topic.

Science – What are magnets?
