Sports Day will be on Thursday. Should it be called off, it'll be on the following day.

Home Learning Project – Due Monday 18rd July

You have a choice of 2 projects

1) Science - The Life Cycle of a Plant – Pollination, seed formation and seed dispersal.

You can present your learning however you would like to.

• Explore the part that flowers play in the life cycle of flowering plants, including pollination, seed formation and seed dispersal.

• Discover how seeds are formed by observing the different stages of plant life cycles; looking for patterns in the structure of fruits that relate to how the seeds are dispersed.

2) Scratch. Create a short animation or a game to entertain your class using scratch (or equivalent) . https://scratch.mit.edu/

Next Week 

PSHE- understand how babies grow and develop in the mother’s uterus and understand what a baby needs to live and grow

English - We will start our adventure story topic. We will focus on the book Journey 

Maths - We will continue time in maths. This is a very abstract concept for children so I would really appreciate if you could do some pre-learning this weekend to prepare the children for next week's maths.

Science - We will explore the requirements of plants for life and growth (air, light, water, nutrients from soil, and room to grow) and how they vary from plant to plant.

Geography - Introduction to volcanoes. 

D&T - Pneumatic toys. 

RE - How can you be a Good Samaritan?

Spanish - Animals.
