Hello all - it was lovely to see all of you this week to discuss your child's progress. Thank you all for your time. 

Next Thursday the children have a circus skills workshop - I am really looking forward to that!

Home Learning Project (Due WC 17th July) - Scratch. 

Create a short animation or a game to entertain your class using scratch (or equivalent) https://scratch.mit.edu/

Strike Wednesday 5th and Friday 7th July-  You might have seen in the news that some teachers who are members of the NEU will be taking strike action on Wednesday and Friday. I will be striking those days and you will need to make other arrangements for your child on that day. Do not send your child to school. 

Children in Years 3 who are on free school meals will be able to have a packed lunch on this day which will need to be collected at lunchtime. The school office will be contacting all eligible families at the beginning of next week to see if they want to take up this offer.

Maths - Securing the 4 operations.

English - We are continuing to read Journey by Aaron Becker. We will be writing a setting description.  

Science - Rocks, fossils and soils. 

History - Stevenson's rocket. 

PSHE - identify how boys’ and girls’ bodies change on the inside during the growing up process and why these changes are necessary so that their bodies can make babies when they grow up.

D&T - Designing our pneumatic moving monster.
