Week beginning 29th June
This week in Year 3, students explored “How to Live
Forever” by Colin Thompson, engaged in thoughtful literacy discussions, focused
on statistics in maths and completed their last swimming session at Furzfield.
English
This week, Year 3 started reading the story "How to
Live Forever" by Colin Thompson, which sparked thoughtful debates and
extraordinary ideas among the students. Literacy activities will be centered
around understanding the characters and the dilemmas they face in the story,
encouraging students to reflect and develop their analytical and creative
skills.
Maths
In maths, the focus has been on statistics: students have
been learning to read and interpret data as well as present it using various
graphs and charts. BBC Bitesize has been highlighted as a particularly helpful
resource for explaining what data is and why it is useful for understanding and
visualizing information.
