10/05/19 (Chick pictures update)
Wow – a short week packed full of learning.
I’m sure you have all heard all about our visit to the
science museum – it was amazing. The children learnt so much and really enjoyed
their day. I will attach pictures below. I just want to add that all the
children were impeccably behaved and very polite and respectful to all staff
members.
This week
Maths – In maths we started solving word problems including
fractions. (Step 1: Problem solving involving fractions of shape).
English – This week we were looking at formal writing and
how to format a letter. The children then formatted their own thank you letter
to the Wonderlab and wrote it in best. I will be sending these to the science
museum.
Art- Collage. This week we looked at different collage
pieces of art and the children planned their collage piece. If you have any
materials appropriate for collage, please send them in for the class to use.
RE – This week the children looked at the Christian place of worship. We discussed similarities and differences with the Christian and
Muslim place of worship.
History – This week we looked at the technology developments
that changed transport during the industrial revolution. The children find it interesting
that before the industrial revolution.
Science- We visited the Wonderlab and had a science show
about fire and explosions.
Next week
Next week the girls (Wednesday afternoon) will be attending Stormont

confident that the children will enjoy their learning with her.
