Hello all, 

We've had a fun day today with lots of sewing. The children are starting to thread the needle which is great. If they can practise sewing and tying knots in thread at home this will really help. We will soon design and create our pencil cases. 

On Monday England play their first World Cup game (13:00 KO). I will be showing this in class. There will be other activities and learning going on simultaneously. 

Home Learning Project – Due Friday 16th December (can be brought in from Monday 12th)

History – Prehistoric Britain
This half termly project is Prehistoric Britain.
I would like you to create something that shows your learning around this topic. Please feel free to be as imaginative as you would like! You could focus on subjects such as the stone age (Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic age), the metal ages (Bronze and Iron), the Celts, life in Britain, food, houses, Stonehenge, etc. 

Please do not feel this has to be a writing task.

Next Week

Maths - Mental subtraction methods for subtracting 2 and 3 digit numbers. 

English - This week the children will write their own instructions. 

RE- We will be learning about the festival of Eid. 

D&T - We will be learning how to whipstitch. (Pre-learning would be appreciated).

History - We will be learning about the Bronze Age. 

PSHE - Witness and solutions.

Spanish - To ask how old someone is and give own age.

ICT - Using Word and saving documents.
