Hello Year Three,

We have had a busy week!

We have been reading ‘Escape from Pompeii’ by Christina Balit and our English written work has come from this book. We have explored the character’s feelings and used command verbs for instructions.

As we are learning about Pompeii the children may be interested in the exhibition in London that has recently been created – https://pompeii-experience.com/london/

For maths we have continued to learn multiplication and have moved on to multiplying a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number.

We learned about The Bronze Age in our history lesson and wrote diaries as a day in the life of a Bronze Age child.

There won’t be any spellings to learn for next week because we will carry out our test on Monday. Today we have been to the church to rehearse for the carol concert on Monday evening.

There are lots of Christmas activities next week but we will be continuing with our learning as well.

Wishing you all a great weekend.

Ms Davis
