Hello all!
Another week of our summer term gone – yes, it is summer,
although, I’m not convinced by this weather we’re having.
Next Friday will be muftiday – Please send your child with a
bring in a bottle of wine for the tombola.
The children had a wonderful time at Manor Lodge watching
Mary Poppins. A wonderful production and the year 3 were really well behaved,
an asset to the school.
Congratulations to all children who took part in the school’s
talent night. Little Heath really does have talent – I was told the evening was
a hit with a special performance from the teachers.
Art project (recycled fashion) – I’m sure the children have
told you all about their recycled fashion project. The idea is that the children
have to design and make a garment out of recycled materials. Please donate all
you can to this project even if it is materials that your child may not use
(for example, newspapers, magazines, crisp packets [washed], bottles and lids
etc.)
Note: Parent’s consultation week will take place w/c 8th July.
Home challenge: Please over the next few weeks teach your children how to tell the time. Start on an analogue clock and then on a digital.

Next Week
Math – Division Problem Solving by sharing and grouping.
English – The children and I are continuing to read our
adventure story, The Firework Maker’s Daughter, and working towards building
our creative writing techniques.
Art- As long as the children have enough materials for the
project we will start our art fashion project. The idea is to build a garment
from our design and have a fashion show.
D&T – We will be staring our initial deigns for the
pencil cases the children will be making. Within their D&T unit I will be
teaching them how to sew.
RE – The Christian story of The Good Samaritan.
ICT – The children will be continuing their coding programs.
Geography – To be able to identify settlements and reasons
for their original siting.
