 Hi all!

We have made it to the end of week 5 – time is flying by in Year 3. A very exciting week in Year 3 as we have 2 new students, welcome to you both and I hope you have enjoyed your first week in Year 3. Thank you to the rest of the class who have been extremely welcoming to the new pupils.

 

Homework

Please ensure with your child you are -  reading daily (10 minutes), going on mathletics/mathseeds (3 x 20 minutes a week) and practising spellings.

 

 PE timetable

Monday (30 minutes - trainers only)

Wednesday (1 hour - full kit)

Thursday (1 hour - full kit)

On Wednesdays the children will be playing football on last lesson in PE. This means that the children should have 2 pairs of shoes – one pair to walk through the school and the other pair to play football in. The children are also encouraged to wear warm clothes (no scarf) as Mr Mills will take them out in all weathers. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Next Week

Maths – We will be continuing our place value topic and will be counting on and back in 10s and 100s.

English – We will be continuing our play script topic and the children will be writing their own play script.

Science – This week we looked at different types of skeletons and next week we will be looking at the human skeleton in detail.

Geography – We will be learning about capital cities of countries.

Art- We will be continuing our Stone Age art topic.

Spanish – Greetings and numbers.
