Hello, hello, hello!
I hope you are all well.
Next Friday I will be holding the parents consultations via telephone. Please ensure you have booked your slot and provided the correct phone number to contact you on. The Year 3 consultations will take place on Friday 16th October. You will have a 10 minute phone call with myself to discuss how your child has settled into Year 3. The phone call should not last longer than 10 minutes.
Homework
Please ensure with your child you are - reading daily (10 minutes), going on mathletics/mathseeds (3 x 20 minutes a week) and practising spellings.
PE timetable
Monday (30 minutes - trainers only)
Wednesday (1 hour - full kit)
Thursday (1 hour - full kit)
On Wednesdays the children will be playing football on last lesson. This means that the children should have 2 pairs of shoes – one pair to walk through the school and the other pair to play football in. The children are also encouraged to wear warm clothes (no scarf) as Mr Mills will take them out in all weathers. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
(Some children are only learning the first 5 spellings. These children are aware of who they are).

Next Week
Maths – We will be continuing our place value topic and will be counting on and back in 10s and 100s.
English – We will be finishing writing our play scripts and start our recount topic
Science – Next week we will be looking at the functions of a skeleton.
Geography and ICT– The children will pick a country in groups and research human and physical features of their chosen country.
Art- We will be continuing our Stone Age by cave painting next week.
RE- We will be looking at the Christian place of worship.
Spanish – Greetings and numbers.
