Hello all! 

Wednesday 1st February -  You might have seen in the news that some teachers who are members of the NEU will be taking strike action on Wednesday 1st February. I will be striking that day and you will need to make other arrangements for your child on that day. Do not send your child to school. 

Children in Years 3 who are on free school meals will be able to have a packed lunch on this day which will need to be collected at lunchtime. The school office will be contacting all eligible families at the beginning of next week to see if they want to take up this offer.

Home learning project - Volcano Fact file or Presentation - Due 16th February 2023 

Pick a volcano (Mount Vesuvius, Mt Etna, Mount Fuji, Cotopaxi, Mount St Helens or Krakatau) to write a fact file about or create a PowerPoint presentation. I do have some sheets in class that can help with this so if you need any help, do feel free to ask.

Next Week 

Maths - Bar graphs. 

English - A continuation of Dick King Smith's, The Finger Eater. The children will be writing their own alternative chapter/ 

Science - Understanding results from our fair test and creating a magnet game. 

ICT - Completing a simple search. 

Geography - To explore the features of volcanoes.
