Hello Everyone!
It has been an incredibly busy and inspiring week in Year 3, filled with creative storytelling and fantastic progress across all our subjects. The lead up to World Book Day on Thursday, this is always a highlight for the children. This year the class were led by Mrs Robinson. The fun activities included dressing up, writing a character description, draw a detailed image of your book character and the author’s visit.
Remember to use your £1 World Book Day token, which can be swapped for a special World Book Day book at participating booksellers.
In mathematics we are continuing to focus on the rapid recall of the 2 and 3 times tables. The weekly test on a Friday will also go above the traditional recall of multiplied by 12 and may contain halves and thirds of numbers. We have also been working on reading number lines and scales with mass and capacity.
Our "Rocks and Soils" topic continues in our science lessons, with children investigating the different properties of rocks and learning how fossils are formed.
Please keep up the reading and practicing the times tables at home.
